When no one's looking: the lives of runaway teens
I watched the documentary on money as debt.

Meanwhile there is argument about healthcare.

You cannot support any means of life for long with a banking industry that is for profit and based on debt.

I've known few of these types. More power to them if they can survive. Make your own way and fuck the rest.

The quieter you become the more you can hear.

Look around next time you walk out of the house quiet the mind and you will see things not seen before. It's called noticing.

Climategate: Dr. Tim Ball on the hacked CRU emails
Here DGahndi you can read them for yourself.

http://wikileaks.org/wiki/Climatic_Research_Unit_emails%2C_data%2C_models%2C_1996-2009

This archive presents over 120Mb of emails, documents, computer code and models from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, written between 1996 and 2009.

The CRU has told the BBC that the files were obtained by a computer hacker 3-4 days ago.

This archive includes unreleased global temperature analysis computer source code that has been the subject of Freedom of Information Act requests.
The archive appears to be a collection of information put together by the CRU prior to a FoI redaction process.

I think its simple. If you want to hid your activities when it comes to things important as this then you are suspect.

Be a Proud Liberal (The West Wing)
Fuck two parties.

Fuck stereotype.

There are good liberals: Kucinich, Grayson, and that bald guy. I can't remember his name, the one that talked about martial law. Franken seems like a smart fellow, and he reminds me of Lewis Black.

There are bad conservatives, like the whole of those fuckers that voted against Franken's amendment to make felonies non arbitrary offenses.

But I am more of a New Hampshire type Libertarian and I cannot stand the current system as it is. The 2nd amendment is one that should not be infringed upon, but is used by the ignorant to push some very stupid ideas. Half of these people I would think haven't a clue what it is like to use a weapon in defense, or offense. I cannot stand police intimidation, and I cannot stand this unjust fear of the Justice System. Or Private Prison Systems! Now we have private police officers!

I have to say, you fools keep arguing about right and left while these great injustices are perpetrated on our tired, our poor, our retched refuse, our homeless, and tempest-toss.

You want true liberty? Or a place to truly have your Liberal, Conservative thought? Start with ending the Federal Reserve. Then move on to the lobby. Then move on to the Military Industrial Complex. Remove the monetary cost to get elected to Office the monetary cost that stops the poor from being a part of the system.

But most of all! Break these goddamned Stereo types: Right, Left, Moderate, Statist, Centrists, Libertarian, and so on. Fuck that we are United States Citizens fucking act like it.

Time Lapse Visualization of US Unemployment
>> ^RedSky:
@NordlichReiter

The dollar is only really down to levels it was pre-financial crisis. Taking your reference point at the height of the global financial crisis is unfair because everyone was buying up US treasury bonds and over inflating the currency.

The fact that countries are considering moving away from the US dollar as the reserve currency, the currency they trade in, and which they keep as foreign reserves is a good thing in the long term. This has kept the US dollar overvalued for decades, and has contributed significantly to the unsustainable consumption and housing binge, and was obvious a major catalyst for the global financial crisis. A rebalancing would put the onus further on factors of GDP such as investment as a contributor to economic growth.

To say that the economy is in recovery is not disingenuous. They're simply using leading indicators such as stock price or inventory levels, which are generally good predictors of economic recovery and in this case a pending fall in unemployment. The scale of that is anyone's guess though, as is how much of the economy was spurned by returning business confidence in the private sector rather that purely government stimulus and specific programs such as first home buyer's grants and cash for clunkers.

Cash for clunkers was the biggest waste. The other parts of your arguments I cannot find fault with.

Taking assets that can be modified, recycled reused, and even melted down for metals and destroying them and leaving them in a dump yard is a waste. Why would you destroy something that has re-usable parts and resources?

Differential gears, transmission parts, bearings, four wheel drive parts, pinions, springs, headers, skid plates, hubs, disks, and shoes. Instead they put sodium silicate into the engines. All because the government doesn't want the cars traded in being re-sold back into the market.

I would argue that having a hulking dump of cars, like I see on the side of the Highway is worse than seeing a repaired 78 Volkswagen van that runs on diesel, or electricity.

Students Occupy Against Fee Hikes and Face Police Brutality
So that every one knows. California will more than likely file Chapter 9 this year. They are hurting, the poverty zones are hurting.

There are whole blocks of Foreclosed homes, and whole subdivisions of nice homes that are empty only except sporadic families.

The influx of people getting degrees is causing them to flood into a straining work market. The work market is straining because of the other. They are mutually affecting each other and making the system worse.

How do you support an economy when 71% consumption makes up part of the GDP?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_the_United_States

Like the trends forecast, it will likely get worse soon. Especially when China give the US the one fingered salute.

Rand Paul... Anti-Liberty. (Blog Entry by blankfist)
>> ^gtjwkq:
You guys should talk about human rights then, it would be very interventionist to consider all humans entitled to the protection of the US Constitution.

I'm guessing Rand Paul considers the prisoners in Guantanamo as prisoners of war. If that's the case, the Constitution does not apply to them, it's not meant to restrict government against war enemies.

So we should cherry pick who gets to live and die?

Ok..

It only effects you when you are at the McDonalds und kommen sie und sagen, dass Ihre Papiere, bitte. (I like to say this out loud, because it has more meaning when it is spoken. Entschuldigung für die Beleidigung Deutschland und die schlechte Grammatik. I'm a linguistic noob when it comes to spoken or written language, and yes I did seek the help of google translate.)

The application of the law is the only place where I feel that Coercive Egalitarianism is important. If one person gets Habeus because of a special interest, and the other doesn't where does that leave the spirit of the law?

So my attempts to passive aggressively Godwin this post have come to fruition. Also, I have met my goal of arguing from absurdity today! Cheers!

JFK Assassination: Secret Service Standdown
My question is why would they break protocol? The vehicle was obviously designed with the intention of having bodies there to protect the presidents weakest point.

I don't correlate the service men being in on a conspiracy but I do think that the decision made that day was a bad one.

The One who shrugged his shoulders new his duty, and he should have told his superior to fuck off.

In some cases principle can mean the difference.
It is arguable, clearly, that the treasury department men being present at their stations could have saved that mans life.

The secret service was transferred from the Treasury Department to Homeland Security in 2002.

Time Lapse Visualization of US Unemployment
>> ^happyTurtle:
As I understand it, employment typically lags the economy by about a year.

Are you saying we shouldn't be happy that the economy is turning around because employment hasn't caught up yet? Seems to me that the sooner the economy turns around, the sooner people will be able to get back to work. That's reason enough to cheer it on for me.

GO recovery GO!!!

There is only one problem. The economy has been in the tank, and is still in the tank.

Gold is up and the dollar is down. The US owes a shit load of debt to the Chinese, and Japanese. The time to pay that debt is soon. When countries stop trading in your Fiat currency then your currency fails. Which is what we are seeing.

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article19205.htm

This is from wikipedia:

Public debt $11.9 trillion (October 2009)[8] 83% of GDP
Revenues $2.106 trillion (2009)[9]
Expenses $3.515 trillion (2009)[9]
Economic aid ODA $19 billion, 0.2% of GDP (2004)[10]

You would think that revenue would need to be greater than expenses right? I'm no economist, but I do know that if I spend more than I make I'll probably go bankrupt soon.
